Warner Bros. has begun releasing teasers and trailers in anticipation of the expected buffet of programming on Super Bowl Sunday. On February 11, two days before the big event, the studio released a minute-long DC Extended Universe teaser titled “The World Needs Heroes.

The teaser briefly introduces characters from all four DCEU films, which are set to hit theaters in 2022. However, although certain characters are well-known from mainstream culture or the franchise’s recent blockbusters, others may be unfamiliar to those inexperienced with DC Comics.

Here’s a rundown of every character from the teaser, as well as where you may find them.

    Batman (Robert Pattinson)

The teaser begins with a scene from The Batman, with Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader receiving plenty of screen time, including several action images from earlier trailers. In the guise of Zo Kravitz’s Catwoman, the sequences promise a potential ally and love interest for the new guy behind the cowl.

    Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz)

Catwoman’s moral alignment is flexible no matter what media she appears in, even if she is never the worst bad in Gotham City. Fans have no idea where she lies until The Batman reaches cinemas in March, but the teaser teases a possible collaboration between the two characters, with her warning Batman, “If we don’t stand up, no one will.”

    Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson)

Fans got a good look at Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam in “The World Needs Heroes,” and probably we might see him again this weekend. Johnson indicated that a complete Black Adam trailer will show in the time of the Super Bowl, which is a nice way to drum up interest for a film that’s been in the works for so long.

    The Flash (Ezra Miller)

Ezra Miller’s Flash has also waited a long time for a standalone film, but the Scarlet Speedster will return to the big screen later this year. Although “The World Needs Heroes” doesn’t reveal anything new about The Flash that wasn’t already revealed in the DC fandom teaser, it does highlight the hero and his fresh, improved suit.

    Aquaman (Jason Momoa)

Although the teaser doesn’t include much footage from the upcoming Aquaman sequel, Aquaman and the Lost https://2yb.org/sleep-klonopin/ Kingdom, one of the most stunning shots depicts Aquaman in his original outfit atop the Throne of Atlantis. Fans will also get a new glimpse at the hero in his new black outfit, which has already sparked interest on the internet.

    Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell)

Cyclone, played by Quintessa Swindell, is the first Justice Society of America member to show up in the teaser, prepping for her forthcoming part in Black Adam. While her screen time is short, her encounter with Atom Smasher should please fans of the JSA comics from the 2000s, since it confirms Black Adam’s status as a multi-generational member of the team.

    Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo)

Later in the teaser, Atom Smasher outsmarts Cyclone because, although Cyclone doesn’t get to show off her talents, Atom Smasher has a chance to do so by knocking a car out of the way as he charges into a fight. This establishes him as DC’s equivalent of Scott Lang’s Giant-Man from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

    Hawkman (Aldis Hodge)

Hawkman and Black Adam will face off in “The World Needs Heroes,” which should come as no surprise given Johnson’s character’s customary portrayal as a villainous. It also includes a depiction of Aldis Hodge’s winged warrior in all his majesty, befitting his status as a key element of the Justice Society.

    Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan)

In the teaser, Doctor Fate appears with half of his signature helmet. Even Black Adam has a scene with the strong sorcerer, in which he shows up to be attempting to persuade the anti-hero to join the Justice Society. It’s an unexpected partnership for Fate, who is already a formidable figure in his own right, but one with comic book roots.

    Supergirl (Sasha Calle)

The Flash’s FanDome trailer indeed has more of the DCEU’s Supergirl’s scenes, but the fact that the sequence with her and the two Barry Allens is featured again in the teaser suggests that she’ll be a key character in both The Flash and the DCEU as a whole in the future.

In 2022, Black Adam, The Flash, The Batman, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom will be released in cinemas.
