
Sony Pictures has dropped the official trailer for Where the Crawdads Sing, the forthcoming cinematic version of Delia Owens’ best-selling book starring Golden Globe nominee Daisy Edgar-Jones. The film is scheduled to swoop into cinemas in July.

The film, which you can see with the key art below, follows a young lady who has been outcast by her community since she was a youngster. Even worse, she is suspected of the murder of her ex-lover and becomes entangled in a murder investigation. Additionally, the teaser includes a preview of Taylor Swift‘s latest original song, “Carolina.”

Where the Crawdads Sing featured Taylor John Smith (Sharp Objects) as Tate Walker, Michael Hyatt (Snowfall) as Mabel, Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People) as Kya Clark, Jr. (Double Down) as Jumpin’, Harris Dickinson (The King’s Man) as Chase Andrews, Sterling Macer, and David Strathairn (Nomadland) as Tom Milton.
Reese Witherspoon, who chose Owens’ novel for her 2018 book club, is a producer on the picture.
