The teaser trailer for Wednesday, Netflix’s next live-action Addams Family series starring Jenna Ortega as the fan-favorite titular character, has been released. It is now anticipated that it will arrive around the autumn of this year.
The Wednesday teaser, which you can see below, follows Wednesday, who, after being expelled due to a large incident involving piranhas, enrolls at her parents’ previous school, where she will finally meet children her age who will understand her strangeness. She realizes upon attending Nevermore Academy that her new school is rife with mystery, mayhem, and murder.
Wednesday is touted as a coming-of-age comedy, but it will also be a detective mystery with otherworldly elements. Jenna Ortega (Yes Day), in her first major TV project, will star as the titular lead in the live-action series. Also starring in the series will be Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, and George Burcea as Lurch.
