Warner Bros. has shelved the release of Shazam! Fury Of The Gods in order to make room for Avatar: The Way of Water.
Disney debuted the first footage from the long-awaited Avatar sequel at CinemaCon on Wednesday. Following Disney’s presentation, Warner Bros. has now pushed back the release date of Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which was initially scheduled to be out on December 16, 2022, the same day as Avatar: The Way of Water.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods will no longer be launched on the same day as Avatar: The Way of Water, the studio announced today. Rather than that, the picture will debut five days after Avatar 2 on December 21, 2022 to avoid the mega-hit Avatar 2.
Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Mark Strong, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Faithe Herman, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, Jovan Armand, and Djimon Hounsou and is directed by David F. Sandberg.
The original film is available on Blu-ray, 4K Ultra High Definition Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital High Definition.
