Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be the first installment of a new trilogy, according to Paramount Pictures.

The company proclaimed on Twitter that the seventh major Transformers film would be discharged in 2023 and can be the primary during a new series. There is no information on the eighth and ninth films, although they will most likely follow the events of Rise of the Beasts.

Paramount also confirmed in the same tweet that a CG animated Transformers film will be released in 2024. Nothing more is known about the project, although additional information will most certainly be released in the future years.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be released theatrically in 2023 and is the first of three new installments. A new animated series from @Nickelodeon arrives this fall. To bring the iconic Beast Wars mythology to life, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will reportedly draw various inspirations from 90s action movies. The newest chapter in the interplanetary robots tale will see a couple of naïve archeologists fight to escape a fast escalating battle set in the 1990s. While the regular battle between the Autobots and the Decepticons will be present, Rise of the Beasts will also introduce three new factions: the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons.

Despite the addition of these new groupings, fans may expect the return of numerous familiar characters. Bumblebee will return to action, wearing a new look of a yellow dune buggy, fresh off his own standalone feature. Optimus Prime will also appear in the film, albeit he will be modified to resemble his G1 form. While this legendary combo may be plenty for them, fans of the Robots in Disguise may expect to see Arcee, Mirage, Nightbird, Airazor, Rhinox, and Optimus Primal make cameos. The movie’s primary enemy will be the wicked Decepticon Scourge.

Ron Perlman will be taking over as the voice of Optimus Prime, which will be a huge departure for the series. While the Hellboy actor has previously voiced the Autobot commander in Transformers: Power of the Primes, Peter Cullen has portrayed the live-action version of the role in the past.

Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback will appear in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, directed by Steven Caple Jr.

The film will be aired on June 9, 2023.
