Top Gun: Maverick, starring Tom Cruise, surpassed Titanic to become Paramount Pictures’ highest-grossing movie in American history.

Many believed that one of the two major Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness or the just announced Thor: Love and Thunder movies would be the present summer movie season’s top earner at the box office. Even Jurassic World Dominion would have been a wise wager. To many people’s astonishment, Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick takes first place. The long-awaited follow-up is Paramount Pictures’ focus overall for many years, and it has now possibly reached its most significant box office benchmark yet for an already outstanding 2022.
Joseph Kosinski’s Top Gun: Maverick, which has earned $606 million in American ticket sales as of right now, has eclipsed James Cameron’s Titanic as Paramount Pictures’ highest-earning domestic movie ever made. The Tom Cruise follow-up has also made an additional $602.5 million abroad, bringing its current global tally to $1.2 billion.
In theaters currently comes Top Gun: Maverick.
