
The first picture from The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes has landed online, and it gives a hint about the love tale unfolding between the characters of Coriolanus Snow, played by Tom Blyth, and Lucy Gray Baird, played by Rachel Zegler.
The events of The Hunger Games take place 64 years in the past in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which follows the life of Coriolanus Snow long before he ascends to the position of President of Panem, as shown in the original film adaptations and book series. In the film, he will cross paths with Lucy Gray Baird, the District 12 tribute.
Following their encounter in the arena, the two main protagonists, represented by Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler, can be seen in the first picture sharing a romantic moment together.
Along with the release of the first picture from The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes in Vanity Fair, director Francis Lawrence has remarked that The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes “is very much a story about love”.
