Despite receiving a lot of criticism for the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s apparent deterioration in quality following Avengers: Endgame, Kevin Feige and his team are still committed to releasing works that will conclude the Multiverse Saga. Three movies that are expected to be released in 2024 will start production this year alone, including Thunderbolts, which brings together a group of unlikely heroes to battle Sentry, possibly one of Marvel’s most formidable characters.

Speaking of the beloved comic book character, there have been persistent rumors that the studio is looking to cast actor Ryan Gosling for the role. However, a new rumor suggests that Marvel’s answer to DC’s Superman will be played by a POC actor, despite the insistence of several sources.
The studio is presently looking for an African American actor for the part, according to Grace Randolph. Although the frequently accurate tipper didn’t provide into specifics regarding the purported creative ideas for the character, Randolph theorizes that Marvel Studio is making a deliberate attempt to avoid comparisons between Sentry and The Boys’ Homelander. The Twitter leaker recently asserted that Marvel will formally reveal the actor who will portray Sentry in Thunderbolts, which makes perfect sense given that production on the movie will start in a few months.
