Three films based on the hit series Avatar: The Last Airbender are in the works of Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon.

The first of the three films under development, which is presently nameless, will be directed by Lauren Montgomery. All three films will be distributed theatrically.
Bryan Konietzko and Michael DiMartino, co-creator of Avatar, will produce the unnamed film alongside longtime collaborator Eric Coleman. The film will be produced by Avatar Studios, a branch of Nickelodeon that was established in 2021 with the goal of creating material based on the worlds of Avatar and the succeeding series The Legend of Korra.
Avatar: The Last Airbender was set in a world of warring nation-states where people are known as “benders” can control the four elements of earth, fire, wind, and water from 2005 to 2008. The series has won several awards, including a Peabody Award, a Primetime Emmy, Annie Awards, and Genesis Awards.
The Paw Patrol animated film was co-produced by Paramount and Nickelodeon. Among the upcoming titles from Paramount Animation are a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film, an untitled Transformers film, a Paw Patrol sequel, and a Smurfs musical.
