A new TV spot for Thor: Love and Thunder teased tickets will go on sale beginning this coming Monday, June 13, which gives a closer look at Guardians of the Galaxy back in action in the impending Marvel sequel.
‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ marks the return of Chris Hemsworth‘s portrayal of the thunder god to the big screen for his fourth solo outing, which is an honor not yet given to any of Thor’s other Avengers. Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi is at the helm of the upcoming Marvel sequel, which reunites the Asgardian with the Guardians of the Galaxy, with whom he was last seen at the conclusion of Avengers: Endgame in 2019.
In the TV spot, Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher is also shown battling with Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, who is wielding one of Zeus’ golden thunderbolts. Watch the latest trailer down below:
It is not yet known how significant of a part the Guardians of the Galaxy will play in Thor: Love and Thunder; nevertheless, the film’s first teaser hints that they will leave Thor early. Given that the Guardians are slated to make at least two more appearances in the future – this year’s The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special on Disney Plus and 2023’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 – Drax’s concerns of impending death seem not to make sense.
Thor: Love and Thunder is slated to swoop into theaters on July 8, 2022.
