Thor: Love and Thunder, starring Chris Hemsworth, reigns supreme at the box office once again, despite suffering a significant dip.
Thor: Love and Thunder, the latest film from Marvel Studios, is receiving mixed reviews from critics and moviegoers alike. While some found Taika Waititi’s sequel entertaining, others deemed it a mess, despite Chris Hemsworth’s continued charismatic performance. Last weekend, the picture debuted with $144 million at the US box office. This weekend, while continuing to outperform its competitors, it earned only $46 million, a decrease of 68 percent.
The reception to Chris Hemsworth’s fourth solo MCU film has been rather underwhelming in comparison to other previous installments in the franchise. In comparison to the remainder of Phase 4, Black Widow was awarded an A-, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings scored an A and a B for Eternals. Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness received A and B scores, respectively.
Thor: Love and Thunder is now in cinemas.
