The villain of Thor: Love and Thunder makes his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the official teaser, and his frightening looks are enough to keep everyone up at night. In the teaser, Gorr the God Butcher appears, and Christian Bale appears to be menacing. What precisely is he, and how awful is he?
Gorr the God Butcher is finally shown in the teaser for Thor: Love and Thunder, and his terrifying appearance, complete with white skin and eerie eyes, is enough to fear any god he would slaughter. Christian Bale is already appearing like a force to be reckoned with, despite the fans’ conflicting reactions to his appearance.

In the comics, Gorr the God Butcher also appears frightening, so kudos to Christian Bale for delivering the goods! Coming from a planet without a name that is always on the verge of famine, Gorr was taught to trust that the gods will supply if he prays for it. Gorr‘s parents died when he was young, leaving him to fend for himself in such a harsh climate.
Gorr stayed faithful and married Agra, who became pregnant; unfortunately, his wife and children died in a massive earthquake, leaving him with only one son, Agar, who is going to die from malnutrition as well. Gorr vowed that no gods should ever exist after his son died and he was overcome with anguish from begging from the gods who never delivered anything. Gorr was traveling across the desert, eager to die, when he witnessed gods warring, Knull, an ancient deity, and a god with Enigma Force powers.

The god Knull asked Gorr for assistance, and since he was angry about the murder of his loved ones, Gorr snatched up the All-Black Necrosword and killed the god. Following it, he vowed to murder all the gods in existence. He journeyed the cosmos for hundreds of years to ensure that no divinity would ever survive.
Gorr‘s predicament appears to be the same throughout the film. Gorr claims in the trailer that the gods only care about themselves, not others, and thus he swears a promise to see that all gods perish.
On July 8, 2022, Thor: Love and Thunder will be premiered in theaters.
