The international premiere of Thor: Love and Thunder took place in Hollywood on Thursday, and the first reviews are in.

This is the first indication of what viewers are saying because official reviews won’t be out until July 5. It’s important to note that responses to premieres tend to be more positive than those at critics’ screenings.
In this project, director Taika Waititi and actor Chris Hemsworth will collaborate once more on a story that will put Thor against Christian Bale’s nemesis Gorr the God Butcher, who is seeking to eradicate gods from the galaxy. For the first time since Thor: The Dark World (2013), Jane Foster made a comeback to the series, and this time she will use the might of Thor. Along with Chris Pratt and Dave Bautista from the Guardians of the Galaxy series, Tessa Thompson also joins the cast and plays Valkyrie in the movie.
Via many new series debuting this year, including the presently streaming Ms. Marvel, the Marvel brand has extended into streaming with Disney+. Thor: Love and Thunder follows this development as well. Less than two months have passed since the studio’s release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which is currently the second-highest-grossing movie of the year after Top Gun: Maverick. Later this year, the company will also release the big-screen version of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The movie Thor: Love and Thunder debuts on July 7.
