Moviegoers, get ready for the offer of the year. The Cinema Foundation will honor National Cinema Day on September 3 with an unbelievable price of $3 for tickets to wrap out the 2022 summer season. All movies, all showtimes, and all formats are included in this incredible package.

Over 3,000 cinemas and 30,000 screens participate in National Cinema Day, a single-day event. A variety of films from top distributors, such as Disney, Paramount, Sony, Universal, A24, Lionsgate, Amazon Studios, Focus Features, Neon, Sony Pictures Classics, United Artists Releasing, and Warner Bros. will be featured in the promotion, along with exclusive previews and special in-theater promotions.
After this weekend’s poor box office collection of $54 million — one of the year’s lowest weekend grosses — the campaign might provide a much-needed lift. However, not all of the box office news this summer has been gloomy. For the most part, Top Gun: Maverick carried the domestic box office on its back, generating $691 million domestic ($1.4 billion globally), with the majority of that coming before its recent VOD release. Other top-grossing films over the summer season include franchise films like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ($411 million domestic), Jurassic World Dominion ($374 million domestic), Minions: The Rise of Gru ($354 million domestic), as well as some original films like Elvis ($147 million domestic).
If you want to watch a fresh re-release of Spider-Man: No Way Home – The More Fun Stuff Version, or Maverick before purchasing it on VOD, or if you just want to catch one of the new releases, such as Honk for Jesus, be sure to get your tickets and book your seats right away. Whether it’s Breaking or Save Your Soul, National Cinema Day has you covered.
Visit the National Cinema Day website for more details, including the exact participating theaters in your region and the movies that are part of the promotion. AMC Theaters revealed a $5 cameo combination that includes a fountain drink and popcorn, so be sure to keep a lookout for the social media profiles of other theater companies.
