It’s possible that The Witcher Season 3 is still in production despite earlier claims to the contrary. Even though Henry Cavill, the principal actor, has just tested positive for COVID-19, production has apparently begun.
A number of actors who have been cast in The Witcher Season 3 have been filming fresh sequences for the show. On the set of the Netflix series, actors Mecia Simson, Cassie Clare, and Harvey Quinn posted Instagram pictures of themselves.

The posts also imply that The Witcher has resumed filming its adaptation of the Thanedd Coup from Andrzej Sapkowski’s fourth Witcher book Time of Contempt, which caused the Brotherhood of Sorcerers to be disbanded, even though the images appear harmless as they make jokes about the heat or a random restroom.
At this time, it’s unclear if these are brand-new pictures or if the actors were just absent from the show. However, there’s a very good chance that only Henry Cavill and those who were in close proximity to the actor were obliged to enter quarantine following the positive COVID-19 diagnosis.
It’s no surprise that the cast and crew of The Witcher Season 3 are anxious to get back to work. After all, the show’s comeback is already imminent. With that in mind, we’re praying for a quick recovery for Henry Cavill so he can continue working on the series.
Season 3 of The Witcher will continue to adapt elements of Sapkowski’s novel Blood of Elves, which inspired the second season. However, the majority of the forthcoming season will also follow the events of Time of Contempt.
The Witcher Season 3 has yet to get an official release date.
