Production on the popular fantasy drama starring Henry Cavill has been suspended.

For a while, Geralt of Rivia is putting his sword down.
Due to COVID-19, Netflix has stopped making The Witcher: Season 3.
The streamer is only stating that filming has paused due to COVID and it will be up and running as soon as it is safe to do so in response to online rumors that actor Henry Cavill tested positive for the virus. The Cavill representative also declined to comment.
The U.K.-based production has previously had to stop production on season two in 2020 due to the virus, so this is not the first time it has been forced to do so.
The announcement follows last week’s San Diego Comic-Con, where attendees questioned whether Superman actor Henry Cavill would appear for DC’s Shazam! and Black Adam panels and booed when Adam star Dwayne Johnson ostensibly implied that someone else might take over the iconic role. In addition, Johnson reassured in an interview that Cavill is the Superman of our generation compared to previous Supermans, who is also a good friend and a fantastic Superman.
A release date for The Witcher: Season 3 has not yet been announced.
