On the review aggregation website Rotten Tomatoes, The Witcher: Blood Origin from Netflix has abysmal ratings.
Currently streaming on Netflix, Blood Origin serves as a prequel to the events of the popular fantasy series The Witcher. Blood Origin is now rated a poor 38 percent on Rotten Tomatoes based on 24 reviews from professional reviewers while having a strong audience. The series’ audience rating, which comes from 2285 Rotten Tomatoes users, is much worse, at 8%.
Longtime Declan de Barra, who wrote The Witcher, oversaw Blood Origin as showrunner and executive producer. As executive producers, Matt O’Toole, Jason Brown, Tomasz Bagiski, Jarosaw Sawko, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, Sean Daniel, and Tomasz Bagiski also participated.
The Witcher: Blood Origin stars Michelle Yeoh, Sophia Brown, Laurence O’Fuarain, Mirren Mack, Jacob Collins-Levy, Joey Batey, Zach Wyatt, Lizzie Annis, Huw Novelli, and Amy Murray. The cast also includes Minnie Driver, Lenny Henry, Dylan Moran, Mark Rowley, Hiftu Quasem, Ella Schrey-Yeats, Kim Adis, Kerri Quinn, Karlina Grace-Pased.
