It’s been a long time since we’ve heard anything about The Witcher: Blood Origin, but it appears that we’ve finally received some good news. The release date for the prequel program this year may have been announced, which might suggest that the fantasy series will be available on Netflix much sooner than thought!
The Witcher: Blood Origin was announced in July 2020, but there have been few updates on the prequel program since then. Fortunately, we got our first look at the new series in December of last year.

So, when will the prequel series be released? In October 2022, Netflix will release The Witcher: Blood Origin. If this is correct, we may be able to see the program this fall.
The Witcher: Blood Origin takes place 1200 years before the events of the main series and tells the story of the first Witcher’s birth. The show will also cover the events leading up to the “Conjunction of the Spheres” and the ancient Elven civilization’s downfall.

Sophia Brown, Lenny Henry, Mirren Mack, Laurence O’Fuarain, Dylan Moran, Nathaniel Curtis, and Michelle Yeoh will feature in Blood Origin. For the time being, no official release date for the Witcher prequel has been set. This might, however, be revealed during Netflix Geeked Week in June. Keep an eye on this story for additional developments.
