April, a film-filled month, is on the horizon. There are a few enormous blockbuster pictures set to arrive this month, but one of the most anticipated is The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, starring none other than the one and only Nicolas Cage. Following the release of a humorous teaser a few weeks ago and with the picture set to release in precisely one month, the action-comedy now gets a new stunning final poster appropriate for a legend like Cage.
The poster unveils ludicrous action nicely, with helicopters in the backdrop reflecting the sun while Cage and Pedro Pascal drive away from an explosion, pursued by guys on dirt motorcycles. The cast is shown in the middle of the poster, with Cage greeting the audience with some cool shades and Pascal carrying golden guns as well as Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholtz, and Neil Patrick Harris. Finally, the poster reminds us, in a lighthearted manner, that “Nicolas Cage is Nick Cage.”

That this poster reminisces of classic action flicks like the James Bond and Indiana Jones series is its most appealing feature. This fits the bill, given that the artwork was designed by famed poster designer Steve Chorney, who created posters for Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, License to Kill, and Labyrinth.

Taking a glance at the poster and the new teaser, it seems like this picture will be both marking a wild fun milestone to Nicolas Cage’s career and a terrific action comedy in its own right.

Cage has lately erupted with some excellent smaller horror and thriller films, such as Mandy and Willy’s Wonderland, but this picture brings back memories of a simpler period when Cage was funnily stealing the Declaration of Independence.

It’s difficult to resist bursting into laughter with each new trailer and piece of art like this. The lighthearted plot has Cage portraying a heightened version of himself, and watching him join up with the CIA to take on a “dangerous superfan” seems straight out of a National Treasure picture.
The film opened earlier this month at SXSW and rave reviews. As a result, admirers of the legendary actor are in for a tremendous treat. Tom Gormican, who co-wrote the script with Kevin Etten, helms the picture. The film is being produced by Cage as well.
On the 22nd of April, the film The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent will fly into cinemas. Here’s a look at the brand-new poster for the film:
