The Umbrella Academy will make a comeback for season 4, which is also the season wrapping up the series. The renewal comes one month after the Season 3 launch of the comic-based drama, which debuted at No. 1 in Netflix’s English-language TV weekly rankings with 124.5M hours seen and remained in the Top 10 for five consecutive weeks.

Steve Blackman, who has been at the helm of The Umbrella Academy from the very beginning, will be coming back to his roles as executive producer and showrunner. In addition, he is working on new series for Netflix, including Horizon Zero Dawn and Orbital, as part of a massive new overall deal under his newly launched Irish Cowboy banner.
Season 4 marks the return of The Umbrella Academy cast members, featuring Elliot Page, David Castañeda, Tom Hopper, Aidan Gallagher, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Ritu Arya, Robert Sheehan, Justin H. Min, and Colm Feore. No mention of Genesis Rodriguez, Adam Godley, or Britne Oldford, whose Season 3 ending left their characters’ fates unclear.
Joining Blackman are returning executive producers such as co-showrunner Jesse McKeown, Mike Richardson, Scott Stuber, Keith Goldberg, and Beau Bauman; and co-executive producers Gabriel Bá and Gerard Way.
The Umbrella Academy made its debut in 2019 and it quickly ascended to the ranks of Netflix’s top 3 most-watched series.
