The Stranger Things writers have returned to work to gear up for the fifth and final season of the series, which is promised to be a massive one. In an image posted on Twitter, they hinted that Stranger Things Season 5 is now on the “grid stage.”

On the picture, Stranger Things Season 5 writers hinted that the series’ final season will consist of eight episodes as they plot the progression of the show’s events; although the plot is still up in the air, it will be filled with new details in the coming days.
The fourth season of Stranger Things is the longest to date, with each episode clocking in at 70 minutes or more and the last two episodes resembling a two-part film finale totaling more than four hours.
The fifth season of Stranger Things is anticipated to pick up where the fourth season left off, in which Vecna’s plans were successful in opening the gates through Hawkins, and the Upside Down began to seep into the real world, but Max’s health remains a mystery. Will Byers is also slated to play a pivotal role in Season 5.
Season 5 of Stranger Things is presently in production with no confirmed release date.
