
New photos from Netflix’s upcoming series, The Sandman gives us a glimpse of Tom Sturridge as Dream and Gwendoline Christine as Lucifer.
The Sandman, a series by Neil Gaiman and David Goyer, was formally acquired by Netflix in the summer of 2019. This preceded literally decades of attempts to get a film adaptation of Gaiman’s go like a bomb. However, the Covid-19 outbreak caused a delay, as it did for many other projects.
In August of 2021, production on the Netflix original series The Sandman was finally ended up. The next month provided us with our first glance at the series, which gave us a sense of what to expect. Now, Netflix has provided us with a brand-new glimpse at Tom Sturridge as Dream and Gwendoline Christie as Lucifer. The whole photos are shown below:
The series’ cast features Tom Sturridge, Vivienne Acheampong, Gwendoline Christie, Boyd Holbrook, Asim Chaudhry, Charles Dance, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Jenna Coleman, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Stephen Fry, Joely Richardson, and Patton Oswalt.
Allan Heinberg, who also co-wrote ‘Wonder Woman,’ is currently working on ‘The Sandman‘ as a showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Neil Gaiman and David S. Goyer also serve as executive producers in addition to their roles as writers.
