Fans now get a first look at Colin Farrell‘s Batman adversary in new photos from the set of HBO Max’s The Penguin.

The return of Colin Farrell‘s Penguin has been anxiously awaited by fans of Matt Reeves‘ new Batman universe. In order to give viewers a preview of what to expect from the upcoming installment of the Batman tale, The Daily Mail has released a number of set images from his upcoming HBO Max series.

The Penguin, also known as Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot, is one of Batman’s most infamous adversaries. He has a distinctive appearance that includes a rotund build, top hat, monocle, and long nose. He is a master criminal. Burgess Meredith, Danny DeVito, and Robin Lord Taylor have all played him on film before, but Colin Farrell is the most recent performer to do so.
The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell in the role of the evil DC Comics character, is set in the same world as The Batman. Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Gotham City mob boss Carmine Falcone, recently joined the cast of the show as Cristin Milioti. In unspecified roles, Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Deirdre O’Connell, and Rhenzy Feliz complete the cast.
The Penguin‘s first two episodes will be directed by Craig Zobel (Mare Of Easttown), with Chuck and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Lauren LeFranc serving as the project’s writer and showrunner. Together with The Batman director Matt Reeves and producer Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell serves as an executive producer on the show.
The Batman is currently the fourth highest-grossing movie of the year after earning 770.8 million at the global box office since its March release. The script for the Warner Bros. project’s sequel is being written by Reeves and Mattson Tomlin at the moment.
