The synopses for the first two episodes of The Owl House Season 2B have been released by Disney.
“Follies at the Coven Day Celebration,” the second season of The Owl House, will premiere on Disney Channel on March 19 and will follow Luz “in the wake of her voyage home” as she “takes on daring rescue missions during the Coven Day parade.” Episode 12 of Season 2 “”Luz is thirsty for further knowledge about Philip Wittebane, the designer of the portal door,” according to the synopsis for “Elsewhere and Elsewhen,” which will broadcast on March 26. She embarks on an epic quest with Lilith’s assistance.”
Dana Terrace, the show’s creator, just stated that Season 2 of The Owl House will air on Disney Channel after a long delay. The Owl House aired on Disney Channel in January 2020 and ran for 19 episodes in its first season. Season 2 will, on the other hand, include a total of 21 episodes and will be broken into two parts, with Season 2A airing the first 10 episodes on Disney Channel until August 14, 2021. On the same day as Matt Braly’s Amphibia returns with fresh episodes, The Owl House will return.
Season 2B will be followed by the third and final season of The Owl House, which has been condensed into three 44-minute specials. In May 2021, Disney Channel approved a shorter third season of the animated series, with Terrace clarifying in a prior interview that the decision to stop The Owl House after Season 3 was decided, to her knowledge, before the show’s first season ended.
“They just wanted to be done with TOH and this was the perfect chance to do that. Even getting the consolation s3 episodes was difficult, apparently. Hard to say, I wasn’t allowed to be a part of any conversations until I was just… told. Wasn’t even allowed to present my case, “Terrace explained, “Our ratings were GOOD (for a Channel show during the streaming wars lmao) but they were also incomplete. This decision was made, to my knowledge, before [Season 1, Episode 18, “Agony of a Witch”] premiered and WELL before we were on Disney +.”
The Owl House follows adolescent Luz Noceda (Sarah-Nicole Robles), who discovers a mystical gateway that transfers her to the Boiling Isles, a fantastical country. She befriends Eda Clawthorne, a strong witch voiced by Wendie Malick, and a demon named King, played by Alex Hirsch, and moves in with them. While Eda teaches Luz in becoming a great witch in her own right, the three of them live together in the Owl House.
Season 2B of The Owl House will air on Disney Channel on March 19. Disney+ is now streaming Seasons 1 and 2A.
