Star of the upcoming Netflix sequel The Old Guard 2, Charlize Theron, posted two pictures of herself and other cast members on the set.
Theron shared the two images on Instagram and Twitter with the phrase “let’s get to work.” The tweet includes the images, which you can view below:
The Old Guard 2 will make reference to the second arc of the Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernandez comic that served as the inspiration for the original movie.
The producers of the first film, Gina Prince-Bythewood, Dana Goldberg, Skydance’s David Ellison, and Don Granger will work on the follow-up to The Old Guard with Marc Evans & Denver and Delilah’s Charlize, Beth Kono, Theron, and A.J. Dix.
Since its release, the first movie has won praise from reviewers and viewers alike for its action scenes, LGBTQ+ representation in the superhero genre, and Theron’s charismatic starring performance. It also broke a record for Netflix streaming during its opening week by taking sixth place among the top 10 movies.
