Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures have announced a comeback date for the Saw universe.
An untitled sequel, under the direction of veteran Saw director Kevin Greutert, is set to hit theaters on October 27, 2023.

The first film in the Saw series, released in 2004, has become a stepping stone for the careers of both director James Wan and writer-star Leigh Whannell. The series chronicles the machinations of the villain Jigsaw, who devises intricate and lethal situations in order to teach his victims a lesson. Up until 2021’s Spiral, the series will have covered nine films. The next installment will be the eleventh one.
While plot details on the upcoming project are still shrouded in secrecy, the tenth installment of the Saw franchise will be helmed by Kevin Greutert, who previously directed Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter. Greutert was also engaged in the series as the editor for the first five Saw films and Jigsaw, in addition to his role as director. Greutert’s return to the renowned horror franchise may signify a return to what fans loved about the earlier films, given his experience in the franchise.
The Saw series has made over $1 billion worldwide, with the most recent installment, Jigsaw, raking in $102 million internationally. The release date for the tenth installment of Saw is Halloween 2023.
