The dark comedy follows Taylor-Joy and Hoult as a couple who travel to a coastal island to dine at an expensive restaurant where the chef (Fiennes) has prepared a magnificent feast, along with some unexpected surprises. McTeer takes on the role of a culinary reviewer.
The success of HBO’s Succession series was largely due to director Mylod. The Menu was produced by Adam McKay, who also executive produced Succession.
Will Tracy and Seth Reiss wrote the script for The Menu. McKay and Betsy Koch will create using their Hyperobject Industries label. The Menu was overseen by DanTram Nguyen, Katie Goodson-Thomas, and Zahra Phillips for the studio.
