Since the latest ‘Ant-Man‘ sequel is further along in development, the two Marvel and Disney films are swapping places.
Walt Disney has recently rocked the release schedule of The Marvels and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumumania, in which The Marvels pushed the release to 2023 and ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ moving up.
The Marvels, originally Captain Marvel 2 and the Captain Marvel‘s follow-up featuring Brie Larson and Samuel L. Jackson, was formerly slated for Feb. 17, 2023.
The Marvels has been pushed out to July 28, 2023, to make room for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hitting cinemas earlier. The decision was taken to switch the release dates of The Marvels and Ant-Man since it is thought that Ant-Man is farther along in the production process.
Captain Marvel was a box office smash, racking up over $1.1 billion all over the world. Jackson, Larson, and Zawe Ashton will feature in Nia DaCosta’s The Marvels.
This is the third film in the Ant-Man and the Wasp series, inspired by the Marvel Comics name-sake characters from the same studio.
Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael Douglas, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors will all be on board as cast members, while Peyton Reed is at the helm of the film.
