Carl Weathers came to Twitter to announce that production on The Mandalorian‘s highly anticipated third season has officially wrapped. The completion of production comes almost a year after the popular Star Wars series ended its eight-episode second season.
Pedro Pascal stars as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the galaxy’s farthest reaches in the Star Wars saga. Prior to the current season, Pascal’s Din Djarin made an appearance in last year’s spin-off The Book of Boba Fett. As of right now, Carl Weathers and Gian Carlo Esposito are the only confirmed returning cast members for the third season of The Walking Dead. Christopher Lloyd, who starred in the film Back to the Future, will also appear in the next new season in a guest-starring role.
Executive producers Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, Karen Gilchrist, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck are behind The Mandalorian, with Favreau serving as showrunner and one of the show’s directors.
