For its second season, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power on Amazon will feature seven new actors.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power now officially includes Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen “Zates” Atour, Ben Daniels, Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle, Nicholas Woodeson, and Sam Hazeldine. The second season of the Amazon series is now in the UK production phase.

The orc commander Adar in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power‘s second season will be played by Sam Hazeldine in place of Joseph Mawle. The identities of the other new cast members’ characters are being kept a secret.

Amazon has great intentions for its Lord of the Rings series and hasn’t been cheap with its creation thus far. The Rings of Power, which is reportedly worth at least $1 billion, has received a commitment from the corporation for a 5-season production schedule.

The Rings of Power is being produced by Amazon Studios in association with the Tolkien Estate and Trust, HarperCollins, and New Line Cinema. J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay are the showrunners and executive producers of the program.

Ema Horvath, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, and Daniel Weyman will feature in the television show. The cast also includes Owain Arthur, Nazanin Boniadi, Tom Budge, Markella Kavenagh, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Cordova, and Robert Aramayo.

Amazon Prime Video currently has The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power available for streaming.
