The first two episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power have finally been released, and reactions to the new fantasy series have been overwhelmingly positive. But for the time being, Amazon customers will have to keep their comments to themselves. On their brand-new, epic show, Amazon has removed the user review function.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, a lavish fantasy series, is presently under criticism from some of its viewers. The first two episodes of the program have just been available on Prime Video for a day, yet already it has a “Rotten” audience rating of 37% on Rotten Tomatoes. The Prime Video app and website user reviews have been suspended by Amazon as a response to the review bombing.
Given that a number of other shows had previously received negative reviews, the decision is understandable. Suspending user reviews reduces any bad input on the site, but it hasn’t stopped internet users from discussing Rings of Power on social media.
Although reviews for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power are now restricted on Amazon, it’s possible that this restriction may ultimately be lifted.
The Rings of Power takes place thousands of years before The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings and begins at a period of relative calm. The program does, however, cover all of the important events of Middle-Second earth’s Age, such as the creation of the Rings of Power, the emergence of the Dark Lord Sauron, the destruction of the island kingdom of Nmenor, and the final union between Elves and Men.
Amazon Prime now has the first two episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
