Given the record-breaking budget of the new Lord of the Rings series, it would be an approximation to say that Amazon has a lot riding on it. On Thursday night, two episodes of The Rings of Power will finally make their Prime Video premiere.
The cinematic scope and large ensemble of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power were quickly noted in social media replies. Tolkien purists were cautious about the show’s interpretation of the Second Age, which caused considerable controversy before the series debut.
Now that the full reviews for the forthcoming series have been published, Rotten Tomatoes has assigned the program a Tomatometer rating. With 116 reviews as of right now, The Rings of Power has an average rating of 83%.
On September 1st, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will make its Amazon Prime Video debut.
