The Little Mermaid trailer, which will be shown during the 2023 Oscars presentation and stars Halle Bailey as Ariel, is making an impact. To display the trailer, Melissa McCarthy, who plays the evil Ursula, co-starred with Bailey.

The Little Mermaid, a live-action adaptation of the 1989 animated film that won Oscars for best original song and best soundtrack for Alan Menken, is directed by Rob Marshall. Menken is back to update the music and write a brand-new song with lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Also, four brand-new songs from the remake will be included.
The Little Mermaid has a May 26 release date and features a cast that includes Javier Bardem, Awkwafina, Jacob Tremblay, and Jonah Hauer-King. A mermaid who yearns to live among humans is the subject of the narrative.
Disney has had success with live-action adaptations of its animation masterpieces over the past ten years, with Beauty and the Beast (2017), Aladdin (2019), and The Lion King (2019) among those films that have made $1 billion worldwide. One of its future remakes, starring Rachel Zegler and scheduled for release in March 2024, is Snow White. In development are Lilo & Stitch and Barry Jenkins’ Mufasa: The Lion King, a prequel to The Lion King.
