Fans will be transported back under the sea by The Little Mermaid for a fresh account of Ariel’s journey. Fans may get the best look yet at the characters who will be traveling with her thanks to brand-new character posters.
In Disney’s The Little Mermaid remake, the story of how Ariel, as portrayed by Halle Bailey, discovered there was more to the water she was nurtured in will once again be recounted. After falling in love with Jonah Hauer-King’s Prince Eric, Ariel strikes a deal with Ursula, played by Melissa McCarthy, to give up her voice in exchange for being able to walk on land. Due to this, she, her friends Sebastian, Flounder, and Scuttle, as well as her father King Triton, are forced to leave their previous lives behind. With a running time of 135 minutes, The Little Mermaid remake is over an hour longer than the original. Fans will have plenty of time to get to know all of these characters, as well as possible additional ones. Even though a lot of fans dislike the latest wave of live-action Disney remakes, only time will tell whether this movie will soar to the top of the box office or fade into obscurity.
