
In the upcoming installment of The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, Rachel Zegler, star of Steven Spielberg‘s West Side Story, will take on the role of Lucy Gray Baird.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, a sequel in The Hunger Games franchise, is due to swoop into cinemas in November of the following year and will bring fans back to Panem and the Hunger Games world. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is adapted from Suzanne Collins’ self-titled novel, which tells the story of future President Coriolanus Snow when he was young as he mentors District 12 tribute, Lucy Gray Baird.
Rachel Zegler made her first foray into the film industry one year ago in Steven Spielberg‘s remake of West Side Story last year, and her portrayal as Maria has really resonated with audiences. Her next film appearance will be in this year’s Shazam! Fury of the Gods, in which she is tapped to take on the role of Atlas’ daughter.

Rachel Zegler and Tom Blyth will co-star in the next ‘The Hunger Games’ Prequel. According to a recent announcement, Blyth will portray the youthful Coriolanus Snow.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is set to storm into theaters on November 17, 2023.
