The Family Plan, a new film from Apple Original Films and Skydance, is touted as an action comedy about a seemingly typical parent whose history comes back to haunt him. Mark Wahlberg, a Golden Globe contender, has signed on for the main role.
Simon Cellan Jones, who previously collaborated with Wahlberg on the forthcoming Arthur the King movie, will helm The Family Plan. David Coggeshall is the project’s author.
Given his prior roles in The Big Hit, Planet of the Apes, The Corruptor, Max Payne, The Italian Job, and other action films, Wahlberg is obviously no stranger to the genre. His most recent appearances were in the Netflix comedy Me Time with Kevin Heart and Sony’s live-action Uncharted remake.
Through their Municipal Pictures company, Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson, together with Dana Goldberg, David Ellison, and Don Granger, produce The Family Plan for Skydance.
