Elijah Richardson replied to rumors that he would feature in Captain America 4 as Eli Bradley.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier acted as an origin narrative for Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and he eventually took over the responsibility of becoming Captain America when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) handed over the shield to him at the end of Avengers: Endgame. In the series, he meets Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly), a Korean War veteran and 30-year experiment subject who served as a Black Supersoldier. Given that his background was concealed from the public, this had a negative impact on him, his family, and his grandson Eli Bradley (Elijah Richardson).
Given Eli Bradley‘s participation in the series, some have hypothesized that he may star in Captain America 4, in which Sam Wilson will make his big-screen debut as Steve Rogers‘ successor. After being questioned about the potential of returning to the MCU while promoting Disney Plus’ Hollywood Stargirl, Elijah Richardson said, “No comment,” but with a grin on his face to the camera.
Eli Bradley eventually becomes Patriot, a member of the Young Avengers in the comics. Some speculate that this particular team may be teamed up in the not-too-distant future given the recent influx of new, younger characters that have been shown in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As a tribute paid to Isaiah Bradley, a potential appearance by Elijah Richardson in Captain America 4 would be a no-brainer.
