The official trailer for Apple TV+’s impending limited drama The Essex Serpent, starring Claire Danes and Tom Hiddleston, has been released. The first two episodes of the series are planned to arrive on May 13.
The Essex Serpent trailer, which you can see below, revolves around a widow as she attempts to uncover the truth behind tales of the presence of a mythological beast that has scared the people of a small hamlet. Additionally, it teases the widow’s clandestine affair with the pastor of the little village.
Clio Barnard (Dark River) directs The Essex Serpent, which is based on a script written by Anna Symon. Frank Dillane, Jamael Westman, Hayley Squires, Clémence Poésy, Dixie Egerickx, and Michael Jibson join Danes and Hiddleston on the cast.
Among those involved in the six-episode series adaption are Barnard, Jamie Laurenson, Symon, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Patrick Walters, and Emile Sherman, as well as Andrea Cornwell, who will serve as executive producer. See-Saw Films is behind the show’s creation for Apple TV+.
