After almost six months of talks, Netflix has finalized a deal for Joe and Anthony Russo’s next big-budget film.

The pair, acclaimed for the mega-blockbuster films Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, will be at the helm of The Electric State for the streaming giant, marking their union with the company behind their upcoming July release, the action film The Gray May.
Chris Pratt, who stars in the Russos’ Avengers films, is in talks to join Millie Bobby Brown, the breakthrough star of Netflix’s Stranger Things.
The cost is quite expensive. A similar initiative had been set up at Universal, but that studio finally balked at the cost and placed it on hold. According to reliable sources, the new budget will be in the vicinity of $200 million.
In quest of her younger brother, an orphaned adolescent (Brown) wanders an American west harking back to the retro-future, accompanied by a charming but strange robot and an eccentric wanderer.
The project is an adaptation of Simon Stlenhag’s critically praised 2018 graphic book Tales from the Loop.
