
The Contractor, featuring Chris Pine as a recently retired US Special Forces Sergeant who is compelled to join a clandestine military group in order to maintain his family, has received a new trailer from Paramount Pictures. Sergeant Harper (Pine) survives an assassination attempt after investigating the intentions and identities of his secretive new employers. Harper is thrust into a struggle for survival as he strives to return home to his family.
Paramount has just released the imminent film’s trailer. The Contractor seems to be an adrenaline-pumping thrill trip loaded with mystery and high-octane action set pieces, produced by Thunder Road Films, who are also in charge of the John Wick franchise. The trailer is reminiscent of the Jason Bourne franchise in tone. It has several thrilling scenes, including Sergeant Harper’s strange first mission for the secretive military group and what looks to be a protracted battle session in a sewer. Ben Foster portrays Harper’s best buddy, who convinces him to join the nefarious military force, while Kiefer Sutherland portrays his commanding commander. Take a look at the following trailer:
Gillian Jacobs, Eddie Marsan, and Florian Munteanu round out the cast of The Contractor. Tarik Saleh, a Swedish filmmaker who previously worked on the TV series Westworld and Ray Donovan, makes his English-language film debut with this movie. After being postponed from its planned March 18 release date, the film is now slated to be released online and hit theaters on April 1.
