The Continental, an anticipated John Wick prequel series, has made a move from the Starz cable network to the Peacock streaming site.

The Continental was originally announced in 2018 as a series about the inner workings of the franchise’s iconic hotels. In the world of John Wick, hotels were a safe refuge for assassins and anyone with ties to organized crime, so long as they had a membership. In the movie, Winston, portrayed by Ian McShane, oversaw the New York City branch, while Julius, portrayed by Franco Nero, ran the Italian branch.
It was eventually announced that The Continental will serve as a prequel to the flicks. Mel Gibson was cast in the main role, while Colin Woodell portrayed a younger Winston. The series now has a new home and an anticipated release date.
The Continental will be now airing on Peacock instead of Starz. It is anticipated to be on the streaming service in 2023. It was not explained why the series was taken off from Starz.
The Continental is slate to premiere around 2023.
