The Conjuring 4 is already in production, and David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick is slated to pen the screenplay. Ed and Lorraine Warren will once again appear on the big screen.

Johnson-McGoldrick is no stranger to The Conjuring universe; she wrote the sequel to the series as well as the series’ biggest blockbuster, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, which debuted at No. 1 at the box office when it was released in 2021. Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the eagerly awaited sequel to Aquaman, was likewise written by Johnson-McGoldrick.
The producers of each previous The Conjuring movie, James Wan and Peter Safran, will be back for the fourth installment. Although no agreements have yet been reached, the franchise’s leading actors, Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga, who portray Ed and Lorraine Warren, are anticipated to return in the movie.
The first The Conjuring movie was released in 2013, and it was a huge success, earning $320 million worldwide and soon rising to the top of the list of the most successful horror movies ever. Since then, the franchise has seen unprecedented success, grossing over $2 billion at the box office and giving rise to a number of spin-off movies, including The Nun, a sequel to which is now being filmed in France.
