ComingSoon, which is a property of Evolve Media Holdings, announced that it already released its exclusive trailer as well as new photos of the new action crime thriller called “The Commando”. The movie stars Michael Jai White who used to take on the lead roles in some famous action movies like Spawn, The Dark Knight and Black Dynamite. Apart from that, Oscar nominee Mickey Rourke appearing in some successful blockbusters such as the Wrestler, Sin City and Iron Man 2 will also come back in “The Commando”. The film is planned to be released in theaters, on Digital, and On Demand on January 7, 2022.
“In this edge-of-your-seat crime thriller, an elite DEA agent (White) returns home after a failed mission when his family makes an unexpected discovery in their house – a stash of money worth $3 million. They soon face the danger and threat of a newly released criminal (Rourke) and his crew who will do whatever it takes to retrieve the money – including kidnap the agent’s daughters. Stakes are high and lives are at risk in this head-to-head battle as the agent stops at nothing to protect his family against the money-hungry criminals.”

In addition to the main characters including Michael Jai White and Mickey Rourke, the film also stars many other renowned actors and actresses such as Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, Jeff Fahey, Gianni Capaldi and Aris Mejias.
The movie is directed by Asif Akbar and written by Koji Steven Sakai.
