The Boys have released some new pictures on their official website. The season 3 teaser trailer will be released soon, according to Twitter. Following the conclusion of The Boys season 2 over 18 months ago, the blockbuster Amazon series will return this summer with eight new episodes. The Boys creator Eric Kripke announced last month that the first official season 3 teaser will be “out in a few weeks” after multiple hints of what to anticipate in forthcoming episodes.
With The Boys gaining a loyal audience after two seasons and persistent delays due to the COVID-19 outbreak, fans are more excited than ever for the superhero show’s debut. During the wait for season 3, Amazon debuted The Boys Presents: Diabolical, an animated anthology spinoff that had a canonical tie-in to Homelander’s (Antony Starr) history to the live-action series. Despite the additional connected material, there is still plenty of action in season 3 to keep fans on the edge of their seats. While the titular Boys will once again square off against the famed Seven, Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy will be a key addition to the season’s cast.
The official Twitter account for The Boys TV has now tweeted a sequence of photographs that foreshadow the upcoming release of The Boys season 3 teaser. Laz Alonzo (Mother’s Milk), Erin Moriarty (Annie January/Starlight), Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko/The Female), and Jack Quaid (Hughie) are all photographed in a separate behind-the-scenes situation, with deadpan glances and sporting under-eye patches. The humorous description simply says, “Keeping an eye out for the S3 teaser,” a play on the photos’ eye-centric nature. Take a look at the following link for further information:

The Boys season 3 trailer was not given a precise release date in the tweet, but it’s probable that the new teaser isn’t far away. Meanwhile, the comedy in the post was spot on, since it included both members of the Boys (Alonzo, Fukuhara, and Quaid) and the new leader of the Seven (Moriarty, who was also wearing hair curlers) in a typical Boys manner. While little is known about particular plot elements, The Boys season 3 is already shaping out to be “more messed up” than the first two volumes, thanks to the announcement that it would adapt the iconic “Herogasm” tale from the original comics and the inclusion of Ackles as Soldier Boy.
The Boys has drawn a great number of viewers because of how different it is from the usual superhero storylines found in Marvel and DC versions. The series has become a slow-burn hit because of its social criticism and continual trope subversion, as well as a dark and twisted sense of humor. Whatever is seen in the next teaser trailer for The Boys season 3, it will undoubtedly maintain the show’s irreverent and self-referential tone from seasons 1 and 2, as well as ramp up the action in ways viewers have never seen before.
