Courtney Henggeler (Cobra Kai, Mom) has signed on to star in The Boys in the Boat, directed by George Clooney and produced by MGM, Spyglass Media Group, and Smokehouse Pictures, alongside Sam Strike, Luke Slattery, Thomas Elms, Tom Varey, Wil Coban, Joel Edgerton, Callum Turner, Jack Mulhern, Bruce Herbelin-Earle and Hadley Robinson.

Under their Smokehouse Pictures company, Clooney and Grant Heslov are producing, with Spyglass Media Group exec producing.
Henggeler is a series regular on Netflix’s global smash Cobra Kai, which just concluded production on its fifth season after receiving its first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series. She portrays Amanda LaRusso, the powerful wife of Ralph Macchio’s Daniel, on the sitcom based on Robert Mark Kamen’s The Karate Kid flicks.
Henggeler is most known for her roles on The Big Bang Theory as Missy, Jim Parsons’ Sheldon’s twin sister, and on CBS’ Mom, starring Anna Faris and Allison Janney. Jane the Virgin, Into the Dark, Bones, Happy Endings, Royal Pains, Franklin & Bash, and NCIS are just a few of the shows she’s been in. Tyler Perry’s Nobody’s Fool and the comedy Friends with Benefits, in which she starred with Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, are among her other film credits.
Henggeler recently made her debut as a writer and executive producer on the Lifetime original film The Secret Life of a Celebrity Surrogate, and she is now working on a number of additional projects as a producer and screenwriter.
