In the now-viral footage, Robert Pattinson is seen on set dressed as Batman when a crew worker grabs a Juul vape pen from his utility belt. Although it isn’t the batarang, grappling gun, or can of shark repellent Bat-Spray that fans have come to anticipate from the Caped Crusader’s utility belt, it is an ingenious storage solution for Pattinson‘s long days of filming.
A funny image of Batman sneaking a short smoke between bouts of crime-fighting comes courtesy of The Batman‘s behind-the-scenes material. It does, however, emphasize the utilitarian and down-to-earth appearance of Batman’s gear in Matt Reeves’ picture, with a useful utility belt with useable compartments. Michael Keaton’s or Christian Bale’s exquisite golden belts are unlikely to have served the same purpose. At the very least, Robert Pattinson seemed to enjoy being one of the only superhero actors who wears a suit with pockets! Watch this video below:

The video begs the issue of how much dread Batman would instill in his foes if he was caught smoking a vaporizer on Gotham’s rooftops.
The Batman is now available digitally and exclusively on HBO Max for purchase and streaming, with physical media releasing on May 24.
