‘The Batman’ Reached $57 Million On Friday, Putting It On Track For A $120 Million + Debut

Behind ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ the superhero film starring Robert Pattinson will certainly achieve the second biggest opening of the epidemic period.

The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson, opened to a massive $57 million on Friday, with a predicted opening weekend of more than $120 million.

Following a poor January and February in terms of Hollywood tentpoles, the release of the Warner Bros. and DC tentpole couldn’t have come at a better time for cinema owners.

The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves, will undoubtedly be the second-best domestic opening of the epidemic era, behind only Spider-Man: No Route Home, which launched to an incredible $260.1 million in mid-December on its way to a worldwide box office total of more than $1.85 billion.

Given that it covers nearly three hours and is significantly darker than No Way Home, The Batman’s premier appears to be a resounding success.

The PG-13 picture, which was driven by men between the ages of 18 and 34, is a rogues’ http://danzioperformance.com/wp-includes/SimplePie/Decode/HTML/medicines/buytramadolgeneric-online/ gallery of Batman characters that focuses on Bruce Wayne’s early days of combating crime. The Riddler, a serial murderer hunted by Batman, is played by Paul Dano, while Catwoman is played by Zoe Kravitz, and the Penguin is played by Colin Farrell.

The Batman made $21.6 million in Thursday previews and fan sneaks in Imax cinemas on Tuesday and Wednesday, according to Friday’s total. The $200 million tentpoles, like other superhero films, is doing well on Imax and other premium large-format theaters.

AMC Entertainment, the world’s largest exhibitor, is utilizing The Batman the Movie as an opportunity to test variable pricing in the United States, charging anywhere from $1 to $1.50 extra for a ticket to Batman. That’s for standard digital screenings; the upcharge for showings on AMC’s Imax and PLF screens will almost certainly be more.
