According to a recent rumor, Colin Farrell and Paul Dano will be back in Gotham City for The Batman: Part II. Daniel Richtman, a Hollywood source, claims that Farrell and Dano have agreed to reprise their respective roles as The Penguin and The Riddler.

The Penguin and The Riddler are expected to play major roles in The Batman: Part II, despite the fact that the plot is being kept a mystery. It is logical to assume that The Penguin will play a key role in Part II given that Farrell is now filming a spin-off series for HBO Max that will focus on his character as The Penguin.
The return of these two legendary Batman villains to the big screen will excite comic book fans. While they have a long and illustrious history in the Batman canon, The Penguin and The Riddler have not yet crossed paths in the most recent Gotham City rendition.
Robert Pattinson played the title character in the first episode of The Batman, donning the recognizable cape and cowl and giving the role a darker, broodier tone. Fans were thrilled with Pattinson’s portrayal of Batman, and many are eager to see how the Twilight star approaches the character in the next film.
After the first film came to a close, Batman captured the Riddler, who had overrun Gotham City. However, information concerning Part II is still lacking. The sequel’s script is being co-written by Matt Reves and Mattson Tomlin.
The Batman: Part II is scheduled to release in theaters on October 20, 2025, according to the executives of DC Studios. The first film raked up approximately $770.8 million at the global box office, ranking it seventh among all movies released in 2022.
