Global pop sensation Taylor Swift is preparing for the release of her feature directing debut after the successful release of her tenth studio album, Midnights. Swift has officially signed up with Searchlight Pictures. A Swift original screenplay will be used in the project. Additional information regarding the movie’s premise, actors, and characters is currently being withheld and will be released at a later time.

Swift has created her own music videos for songs including “You Need to Calm Down,” “Lover,” and “The Man” in addition to her debut short film, All Too Well: The Short Film, which she wrote and filmed last year and recently received her the Best Direction prize at the 2022 Video Music Awards.

Taylor Swift originally came to public attention in 2006 with the release of her self-titled debut album, which spent 157 weeks at number five on the US Billboard 200 album chart. Since then, Swift has put out several albums that have won awards, including Fearless, Reputation, Lover, Speak Now, Evermore, Red, 1989, Folklore, and Midnights, which is her most recent. Swift has amassed a plethora of hit songs, 11 Grammy Awards, and recognition from the music world’s elite after over two decades.
