Stranger Things Season 4‘s back half has been given a first peek by Netflix.
New photographs of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke), Jim Hopper (David Harbour), Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), and the rest of the cast can be found in Volume 2 (below).
The two episodes will premiere on July 1 and will stream for nearly four hours — episode 408 will be one hour and 25 minutes long, while episode 409 will be two hours and 20 minutes long.
The move follows the release of the first seven episodes of the season on May 27, which earned the streamer’s best-ever opening weekend for an English-language series (apart from Squid Game), with 286 million views.

The delayed-release strategy deviates from Netflix’s customary full-season binge-watching policy, but it affords the streaming service the opportunity to dominate the television and culture scene over two key holiday weekends — Memorial Day and Fourth of July.
Volume 1 ended with a twist reveal that unveils some of the mythology of Hawkins, Indiana’s Upside Down world, and the final two episodes have been described as massive and cinematic, all leading to a massive showdown that will “punch you right in the heart,” according to executive producer and director Shawn Levy.
